…except it wasn’t a Wednesday but just roll with it.
Does anyone else find it frustrating that fashion retailers are always a season ahead of the actual weather? I get why (working in fashion retail admin myself) but when there’s frost in the mornings and the stores are starting to sell bikini’s and linen dresses, it makes for very frustrating shopping.
SS16 is looking strong this year with off-the-shoulder tops, ruffle blouses and softer shades of colour being some of my favourites key trends so far. Great, but not practical for this time of year, which is why I love this (super cheap) jumper from H&M. At £20 it’s an absolute steal! Plus it combines a key shape from winter and a summer colour, making a fab transitional piece.
I loved the funnel neck necklines that came through this winter, which is a softer, cooler take on the turtle neck. (I realise I said ‘neck’ a lot then, but it was totally necessary… neck neck neck). Plus I’m really enjoying the SS16 colour trends we are starting to see, including soft rose pink.
I have a very minimal amount of pink in my wardrobe, but I have a feeling this might change this season, starting with this H&M jumper! Don’t be deceived by the colour, I layered up putting a thermal top under the jumper (trust me, you should invest) but I felt bang on trend for the start of SS16. To complete the look I threw on my mom jeans and wore my new favourite ASOS heel. And there you have it, my new SS16 transitional outfit go-to.
