Personalised Is The New Black

Personalised monogramming seemed to explode into the fashion world last AW14. Beautifully stitched or engraved initials were popping up everywhere from passport holders to scarf’s and satchels to jewellery, the world couldn’t seem to get enough! Long gone are the days you would associate personalised handkerchiefs with your Grandparents, now it is something to whip out every time you have a sniffle (expect don’t, because handkerchiefs are gross- why would you want to keep a used tissue?!).

I have had my eye on a bit of personalised gear for a while now. I remember this time last year I was still working in stores and had just opened my own branch with Hobbs on Marylebone High Street in London. It was a big deal for the company at the time and of course a bloggers event was organised by our Marketing team. They came up with the idea of having a lady and her monogramming machine in store on the night of the event to personalise an item of the bloggers choice. I was insanely jealous of what I was seeing and couldn’t wait to have my own at the end of the evening, when the monogrammer told me she wasn’t doing any more… gutted isn’t the word!

Anyway, I digress, but it seems the stars have now alined and I have my very own beautiful bit of personalised gear! I was recently lucky enough to get my hands on this gorgeous Whistle & Bango personalised bangle and it hasn’t left my wrist since. Whistle & Bango is a London based company founded by two besties in 2013. It started out as a postcode bangle, then alphabet bangles and has since moved into bespoke embossed and personalised engraving- basically meaning you can put anything you want on there! (Within reason of course).

I opted for my initals BEF (Bethan Elise Foster) making it personal to me and also a super easy way for southerners to say ‘Beth’… I love you all really. With my wrists being crazy tiny and that of a toddler, I cautiously went for the smallest size available, and you know what? it fits me perfectly. The colours are on point and the width of the bangle itself is perfect- it honestly seems it can do no wrong!

If you’re looking to treat yourself to a bit of personalised getup, I would highly recommend Whistle & Bango. It’s something you can wear day after day and for the price you pay, it’s honestly a steal! PLUS even better, you can get 10% off on mens and womens bangles now by using the code LittleBee.

Get involved guys, you’ll love it!
